Notice: Pursuant to the Clean Water Act and in accordance with Arizona Administrative Code (AAC) R18-9-A907, the Director of ADEQ proposes to issue an Arizona Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (AZPDES) Renewal Permit to discharge pollutants to Waters of the United States to the following applicant, subject to certain effluent limitations and special conditions:

Mountain Pass (SaddleBrooke Ranch) Water Reclamation Plant (WRP)

Mountain Pass Utility Company applied for a renewal AZPDES permit for the proposed discharge of up to 0.249 million gallons per day (mgd) of treated domestic wastewater from the Mountain Pass (SaddleBrooke Ranch) WRP to an unnamed tributary of Big Wash, a tributary of Canada del Oro in the Santa Cruz River Basin in Township 10 S, Range 14 E, Section 7, in Pinal County, Arizona. The Mountain Pass (SaddleBrooke Ranch) WRP is a privately owned treatment works that receives domestic wastewater from residential sources in SaddleBrooke Ranch. The liquid sludge is removed from the Mountain Pass (SaddleBrooke Ranch) WRP clarifier and transported to the SaddleBrooke wastewater treatment plant (AZPDES permit number AZ0022853), where it is treated and dewatered prior to disposal at the Butterfield Station Landfill.
