For Soil | There is little to no health risk unless there is contact with skin or ingestion of contaminated soil.

Site Summary

  • Historic tailing piles have been remediated through an engineered cap with drainage systems
  • A number of mine adits have been sealed to prevent entry, two mine adits have been remediated to prevent discharge
  • Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) is in place
  • Quarterly inspections are conducted of all features
  • Remedial activities will be conducted on a roadside tailing pile and a consolidation pile during the months of May and June 2018
  • Remedial activities of historical tailing piles, shafts and adits were conducted in June 2018
  • Site Closure Report submitted in October 2018
  • Site Closure Report approved by ADEQ in December 2018
  • Site continues to be periodically monitored
  • Remedial activities of the remaining historical tailings piles were completed in the 4th quarter of 2021
