PUBLIC NOTICE | Proposed Cleanup for LUST Case No. 392.04-.07
ADEQ is providing notice that a Corrective Action Plan (CAP) was submitted to ADEQ on March 27, 2017.1 The CAP contained a proposal to demonstrate that proposed corrective actions would be protective of public health, welfare and the environment for the following site:
Leaking Underground Storage Tank (LUST) Case File No.: 392.04-.07
Facility ID No.: 0-006261
Facility address: Shell #10
11235 S. Fortuna Road
Yuma, AZ 85367
The proposed activities include the following cleanup technology that will be used to obtain the cleanup levels that are protective of public health, welfare and the environment:
Dual Phase Extraction (DPE)
Contaminated soil and groundwater will be treated using a DPE system. A DPE system extracts soil vapors and contaminated groundwater from the impacted area. The vapors will be treated before being emitted to the atmosphere so that emissions do not exceed levels specified in any air quality permit issued by the county, city or state. Groundwater will be pumped to an aboveground treatment system that removes contaminants in the water. The treated groundwater will then be reinjected into the subsurface.
