PUBLIC NOTICE | Notice of Availability 20th Street and Factor Avenue WQARF PRAP

ADEQ has completed the Proposed Remedial Action Plan (PRAP) for the 20th Street and Factor Avenue Water Quality Assurance Revolving Fund (WQARF) site in Yuma, Ariz.1 The PRAP documents the results of the remedial investigation/feasibility study and identifies the proposed remedy and its estimated costs.

Information

The 20th Street and Factor Avenue WQARF site consists of a plume located in Yuma. The plume is bounded approximately by 17th Street to the north, 21st Street to the south, Kennedy Lane to the east and 4th Avenue to the west. Contaminants of concern at the site are tetrachloroethene (PCE), trichloroethene (TCE), 1,1- dichloroethene (DCE), and cyanide.

Proposed site remedy: In situ enhanced reductive de-chlorination with monitored natural attenuation. The estimated cost to implement this remedy is approximately $3,873,000 for a period of 30 years. Previous costs accrued by ADEQ total $7,868,090.53.
