PUBLIC NOTICE | West Central Phoenix North Plume WQARF Site ERA Work Plan/O&M Plan

ADEQ has prepared an operation and maintenance (O&M) plan for the soil vapor extraction (SVE) and groundwater remediation for the West Central Phoenix North Plume Water Quality Assurance Revolving Fund (WQARF) site in Phoenix, Ariz., per Arizona Administrative Code R18-16-411(E). The SVE system will continue to remove soil vapors from the sub-surface, and the groundwater remediation system will involve injection of carbon sub straight to enhance natural degradation of contaminants in the groundwater.

Information

The West Central Phoenix North Plume WQARF site consists of a plume located in Phoenix, Ariz. The plume is bounded approximately by Highland Avenue to the north, Van Buren Street to the south, 27th Avenue to the east, and 55th Avenue to the west. Contaminants of concern at the site are tetrachloroene (PCE) and trichloroethene (TCE).
