UST State Lead Noncorrective Action Program
NOTICE: At this time, the Department is no longer accepting applications because all monies have been awarded for fiscal year 2021. The State Lead Noncorrective Action Program (NCA) and Tank Site Improvement Program (TSIP) programs are available to the extent monies are allocated from the UST revolving fund on an annual basis.
In 2015, legislation expanded the abilities of ADEQ’s State Lead Program to conduct three types of “noncorrective” actions. ADEQ’s State Lead Program will be responsible for hiring and overseeing qualified professionals needed to perform the actions. Noncorrective actions in the State Lead Program include:1
- Underground Storage Tank (UST) permanent closure
- Confirmation of suspected releases
- Baseline assessments
Eligible applicants include UST owners, operators and property owners. An applicant may request more than one type of action for the UST facility. Participation requires the State Lead Program to have permission from the current property owner to conduct the work. Applications may be prioritized based on site-specific criteria related to risk and available financial resources in the UST revolving fund that have been allocated for this purpose. If leaking UST cleanup is needed, the applicant may request that the State Lead Program conduct corrective actions at the facility.
