Pocket Fire
Special Statement:
Smoke Map For 7/10/2026
Overview
The Pocket Fire, located 7-10 miles north of Sedona, is now estimated at 27,451 acres, with no growth from Thursday morning. It is now at 74% containment. Yesterday, the fire continued to be much less active than we were seeing several days ago. The smoke plume was no longer discernable on satellite yesterday and ground level sensors reported only light impacts around the area. Today, anticipate similar weather with light smoke impacts.Smoke Synopsis
This morning, the light smoke impacts in Sedona will improve by mid morning.Today, smoke is expected to move eastward. Only light smoke impacts are possible today for Flagstaff, Doney Park, Kachina Village, I-40 and I-17. Further east over the Navajo and Hopi tribal lands, we now expect little to no impacts.
Tonight, anticipate little to no impacts in and around Flagstaff with light impacts at Sedona in the morning still possible.
Saturday, smoke is anticipated to favor eastward movement, but winds are becoming lighter and more variable, so there may be some more fluctuation. Fortunately, we are expecting the amount of smoke to continue decreasing each day.
With smoke impacts continuing to decrease, and no reason to suspect that will change, this will be our last forecast for the Pocket Fire unless conditions change.
