Welcome to Our Web Site: Version 3 - launched January 9, 2004
You are viewing the official Web site of the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality. This Web site has been designed to be compliant with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Worldwide Web Consortium (the governing body for Web standards) criteria, as well as state of Arizona Web site standards. Upgrades from the previous version have resulted in several new features to help you navigate our site and help keep you better informed:
- Navigation. Browse our Web site by function or program. Novice users and people unfamiliar with ADEQ's organizational structure may find the functional navigation useful.
- Search Engine. Powered by Google, the improved Search feature in the upper right corner of each page allows you to search by keyword(s) in Web pages as well as pdf documents.
- Events & Notices. This upper navigation menu feature lists recently issued public notices and keeps track of upcoming public hearings, meetings and other ADEQ events. View by day, month or event listings, or use the calendar's internal search function to find what you're looking for. The calendar will even send you an e-mail reminder for events you don't want to miss.
- Subscribe. Using the Subscribe feature near the top of each page, you can sign up to receive e-mailed public notices, news releases, health advisories and other timely announcements from ADEQ.
- Quick Links. We've added handy quick links on the main and divisional home pages so you can access topical information with a single click.
Here are a few more tips for navigating this site:
- The left navigation menu is visible throughout the site. Once you click from within a specific category, you will notice that the menu expands to include all major topics in that category.
- Use the Home link (or the ADEQ logo) in the upper left-hand corner to link directly back to the main ADEQ index. It is located on every page.
- The Contact Us link near the top of each page offers consolidated lists of key agency personnel who can help answer questions and offer assistance to you.
- Website Services in the bottom navigation menu provides glossaries of common environmental terms and acronyms, as well as answers to some frequently asked questions.
- Printing functions vary depending upon the computer and operating system, but it is generally better to choose landscape (as opposed to portrait) in your printer preferences.
- If you are having trouble understanding how to download Adobe PDF files, please use the instructions located under Website Services. There are links to download the viewer as well as extensive help information from Adobe itself.
- Links that take you outside the ADEQ site are delineated with this small icon:

- Be sure to bookmark pages you are most interested in and plan to frequent.
Thank you.
