Synopsis and Discussion
Temperatures are going to take another hit as a cool storms system moves through the region this weekend. Winds will increase a bit across the Phoenix forecast area with gusts near 25 mph at times, decreasing considerably on Sunday. We're looking at highs in the upper 60s to low 70s through Monday, which is slightly below normal for this time of year. Lows will be in the low to mid 50s. Temperatures climb back above normal next week with an expected high of 78°F by Wednesday.

Air quality continues to be pretty good across the Valley with only one PM2.5 monitor reaching the low Moderate range of the Air Quality Index (AQI) on Thursday. This will likely continue through the weekend, despite the clearing winds on Saturday. Calmer winds and cooler temperatures Sunday will favor accumulation of pollution, including any smoke from residential fireplace activity. Otherwise, the weekend's weather and air quality will continue to be pretty favorable for this time of year.

Check back on Sunday for a look ahead at your Thanksgiving week's weather and air quality. Until then, have a great weekend! -J.Paul
