ADEQ is proposing to list the Highway 260 and Main Street site in Cottonwood, Ariz., on the ADEQ Water Quality Assurance Revolving Fund (WQARF) site registry pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute §49-287.01.
Information
The Highway 260 and Main Street site is bounded to the north by Mingus Avenue, to the south by Mongini Lane, to the east by the Verde River and to the west by South 15th Street, South Main Street and Highway 260. Based on results of further investigations and monitoring, the actual extent of contamination may differ and geographic boundaries may change. Known contaminants are tetrachloroethene and trichloroethene.
The site score is 40 out of 120. The site score is based on information about the presence of hazardous substances at the site and does not necessarily determine that the release of a hazardous substance from the site poses a threat to public health or the environment.
