This permit is for an agricultural area or Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation (CAFO) that is greater than ten acres in size, if the land/facility is in an area that is not meeting federal air quality standards for particulate matter 10 (PM10 ). This permit is intended to reduce dust from these operations by requiring operators to implement Best Management Practices (BMPs). After implementation of a BMP, the operator is required to document the practice on the BMP agricultural PM10 permit record, which will be made available to ADEQ within two days of notice to the operator.
