ADEQ has received a Biohazardous Medical Waste Facility Plan Application for the Stericycle Inc. biohazardous medical waste storage, transfer and treatment facility located in Tempe, Ariz.

Biohazardous medical waste collected by Stericycle Inc. trucks at the point of generation will be delivered to the facility for storage, transfer, and treatment. The biohazardous medical waste will be treated using autoclave steam sterilization technology. Once treated, it will be disposed of at an approved disposal facility.
