Watershed Preservation Grant

The purpose of Watershed Preservation Grants (WPG) projects is to protect and improve water quality in waters that are currently meeting water quality standards but have a documentable non-point source pollution concern threatening water quality.  Documenting a water quality threat can include credible water quality data, photo-documentation and biological indicators.

All WPG projects during the grant cycle must be implemented in areas identified as meeting water quality standards based on the most current version available of ADEQ’s Status of Ambient Surface Water Quality in Arizona.1 Projects impacting a water body and/or pollutant that are not listed as impaired/not attaining are not eligible for WPG funding.
