What Is Performance Track?

Arizona Performance Track is a program to encourage and reward businesses that are good environmental stewards.

The Arizona Environmental Performance Track program (AzEPT) is a voluntary partnership between ADEQ; the air quality departments of Maricopa, Pima, and Pinal counties; private businesses, and cities and towns that recognizes and rewards environmental leadership. The Performance Track Program is designed to encourage organizations to go above and beyond the minimum requirements of the law.

Membership in AzEPT provides recognition, benefits and special incentives in exchange for the commitment to continuous environmental improvement through the use of Environmental Management Systems (EMS's), for fostering public outreach, community involvement, and agreeing to aggressive performance measurement.

Qualifying for Performance Track

Requirements for Membership

• Independant Environmental Management System (EMS) Assessment - The facility must have had the assessment conducted within the three-year period prior to the date of application.
• Annual Reporting
• Special Consideration for Small Businesses - The Arizona Environmental Performance Track program will modify the membership requirements for small businesses with fewer than fifty employees.
• Small Community Compliance Assistance Program

• Membership Application - ADEQ will be accepting applications twice a year: from April 1 through May 31 and from September 1 through October 31. We will coordinate review of your application with the participating air quality departments in Maricopa, Pima, and Pinal counties.
