Sybil Smith

Sybil Smith was selected acting director of the Northern Regional Office (NRO) in Flagstaff in June 2009. Sybil had served as the NRO's operations director since joining ADEQ in 2005.

Before coming to ADEQ, Sybil spent 23 years with W.L. Gore & Associates, a medical parts manufacturer in Flagstaff, where she managed an environmental, health and safety team until she retired in 2004.

Sybil graduated with a degree in sociology from Ohio University. Her free time is spent serving on several nonprofit Boards of Directors and training her dogs for American Kennel Club competitive obedience.
