Making Waves: Our Community Impact

Curious about what we’ve accomplished together? Here is where we show off a bit! Your support directly drives real change across our communities:

• Cleaner Water: Trained hundreds of individuals across 30+ volunteer groups to monitor local watersheds, collecting nearly 60,000 water quality records. 
• Sparking Curiosity: Delivered hands-on environmental science lessons and unique learning opportunities across 175 classroom events statewide.
• Trash Removed: Hosted statewide cleanups that successfully removed over 93,000 pounds of trash from our waterways and local environments.
• LABrary Expansion: Opened three "LABraries" in rural communities, expanding access to scientific equipment and boosting local scientific literacy.

We’re just getting started and can’t wait to see how great our impact can grow.

Where Does Your Donation Go?

Every single dollar you give goes straight to the front lines of community science. Your contributions fund the tools and events that make our work possible:

• Water Quality Analysis: Cover the cost of professional lab testing for volunteer-collected water samples and support dedicated community scientists leading local efforts.
• Field Gear & Science Kits: Provide volunteers with reliable water-testing equipment, essential field supplies, and safety gear.
• Classroom Magic: Deliver engaging STEM learning materials, hands-on kits, and resources to K–12 classrooms statewide.
• Community Training: Support community science workshops that recruit, train, and empower the next generation of community scientists.

Are Donations Tax-Deductible?

They sure can be! You will receive an official Donation Acknowledgment via email, which serves as your formal receipt for tax purposes. Because everyone's financial situation is a little different, we recommend consulting a tax professional to determine your specific tax deductibility.
