Forecast Discussion:
Yesterday, ozone was much lower around the state, including in Tucson. Ozone was still able to barely reach the Moderate AQI category at two monitors in the Tucson area, though. Also, believe it or not, but the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base saw some very light rain last night, only 0.01".
Today will offer another chance for some variety in the weather, via a possibility of gusty thunderstorm outflows affecting the area. It's still rather dry near the ground, so little to no rain is expected with any thunderstorm clouds that do move overhead. The main thing to note here will be the potential for brief blowing dust for dust-prone areas.
After today, high pressure will slide over Arizona on Friday, resulting in lighter daytime winds. But low-pressure disturbances in/around the region over the weekend and into early next week will result in increased daytime breeziness once again. As such, we can't completely rule out dust getting kicked up during this time. However, ozone levels are forecast to run lower than they were earlier this week.
